Selecting and Deselecting Columns
You can set up your application in such a way that you can select specific columns or all columns. Columns that you can select can be identified by a thick horizontal line in the column header. This line is not visible in columns that cannot be selected.
If these lines are present, the application permits you to select just one column as well as multiple columns.
The column that you want to select is indicated as selectable.
If a column can be selected, the column header contains up to two click areas: an area containing the text for the column header and to the right of this, an area for sorting the column.
...
To select a specific column, choose the column header for the relevant column. Ensure that you do not choose the area for sorting the column.
The column is then highlighted in color. The color of the line in the column header also changes.
You can check whether you can select multiple columns as follows:
...
1. Select any column.
2. Press and hold down the CTRL key and select any other column.
If only one column in the list can be selected, the selection for the first column disappears as soon as you select a second column.
If, however, multiple columns can be selected, both columns remain selected and highlighted.
If multiple columns can be selected (see above), you can add any number of adjacent columns to your selection.
...
1. Select any column.
2. Press and hold down the CTRL key and select any other column.
3. Repeat step 2 until all required columns are selected.
...
1. If only one column is selected, you can remove the selection as follows:
○ To deselect the column, choose the column header for this column again.
○ To select a different column and thereby remove the selection for the first column, choose the column header for the other column.
2. If multiple rows are selected, you can deselect specific columns. To do this, press and hold down the CTRL key and choose the column header for the relevant column.
