Use

You use this function to display and change the status of the Coverage Analyzer and its general data collection functions. You also use it to display a list of all servers and to change their status of data collection.

Note

To display the Coverage Analyzer status, open the Administration node and choose On/Off, Status.

Features

Switch Coverage Analyzer On/Off

The Status of the Coverage Analyzer is indicated by the following color pattern:

      Green means that the Coverage Analyzer has been switched on.

To switch it off, choose the Off pushbutton.

      Red means that the coverage Analyzer has been switched off.

To switch it on, choose the On pushbutton.

You can view details of the status by choosing Details.

A dialog box appears containing information about the program initialization.

Switch Automatic Recording On/Off

You can collect data automatically in a certain period.

The status of the automatic recording is indicated by the following color pattern:

      Green means that automatic recording has been scheduled.

To switch it off, choose the Off pushbutton.

      Red means that automatic recording is not switched on.

To switch it on, choose the On pushbutton.

You can view details of the automatic recording by choosing Details.

A dialog box appears containing the following information:

      Status of Automatic Recording

      History Versions

The screen area contains a list of the different versions of history available.

The most current version is indicated by X in the Indicator column.

You can sort, delete, and view details about versions from the list.

Switch Data Aggregation from Different Remote Systems On/Off

The status of the data aggregation indicates if the current system is the master system.

A master system collects coverage data from remote system and aggregates it.

To make the current system the master system, choose On.

Prior to this, you have to maintain the background server that is used for data collection and the remote connections in the Summarize coverage results screen area in Settings.

Data Collection Status on Different Servers

The data collection status grid lists all the servers on which the monitored SAP system is installed.

The following information is displayed for each server:

      Exception

The column indicates if data collection has started on the server. For convenience, the following color pattern is adopted:

       A green traffic light means that data collection is running on the server.

       A red traffic light means that data collection is stopped on the server

       A yellow traffic light means that either an RFC problem has occurred or the database and shared memory are not consistent.

      Server Name

      Up

The column indicates which servers are currently running.

      Background

Indicates whether the server has a batch process running so that it can be selected as a background server.

If you choose Detail <-> Overview pushbutton, the system displays the following additional columns:

      SM: C

The column indicates whether the data collection is currently switched on for the server.

      DB: C

The column indicates whether a data collection must be switched on for the server.

      SM: R

The column indicates the reset status of the application server.

      RFC

The column indicates whether there is a problem with the RFC. The problem can be either system error or a time out.

      abap/pxa

The column displays information about the settings of the abap/pxa parameter of the program buffer.

For the data collection status display, the following functions are available:

      Start

If you select a server and choose Start, the system starts the data collection on the selected server.

      Stop

If you select a server and choose Stop, the system stops the data collection on the selected server.

      You can remove a server from the list by choosing This graphic is explained in the accompanying text with the quick info text Do Not Display Selected Server.
