Use

You use the Global Display to get an overview of the Test Coverage of a set of programs and to see how the test coverage has developed over time. The set of programs can be a package, an SAP application or component, programs for which a specific user is responsible, or all programs in the SAP system. To look at the coverage of individual programs or procedures, you must use the Detail Display.

When you start the Global Display, you see a graph that shows how the test coverage of all programs in the system has developed over time. You use the tree on the left side of the screen to navigate down to display the results for specific SAP components, packages, or authors. Choosing a node in the tree updates the graph to show the coverage for the programs in the corresponding unit.

Features

History

When you choose Different History at the top of the screen, a dialog box appears containing all the available recording versions of the Coverage Analyzer. You can choose the required version by selecting it and choosing Enter. The graph for this version is then displayed on the right of the screen.

A history contains all of the data and results recorded over a particular period of time. To create a new history, you have to switch the Coverage Analyzer off and then on again.

Recommendation

We recommend this if the same changes have been made to all programs at the same time, for example, setting the Unicode indicator. Other possible reasons include a release upgrade or a change in the coverage valuation.

Navigation Tree

In the left screen area, the system displays a tree that allows you to select coverage results. For each test group there is a top level node in the tree. The node ALL is always displayed. The node COND is displayed only if data from several systems is summarized.

You can view coverage results grouped in the following ways:

SAP Component Hierarchy (available at SAP only)

Individual packages are the leaves of the tree, which is organized like the SAP Component Hierarchy. You can find the main components on the second level below the test group.

      Package level

The tree displays a hierarchy of persons responsible with the software packages they are responsible for.

      Author level

The tree displays a hierarchy of persons responsible.

To change the display, choose Other View.

A dialog box appears where you can choose the type of layout. You can also change the default layout if you select the checkbox at the bottom of the dialog box.

For each grouping, the following information is displayed:

An icon indicating the percentage of coverage.

The Accumulated Executions and Runtime Errors.

The Current Executions and Runtime Errors.

      The Procedure and Statement Coverage.

These values correspond to the current values in the graph.
