Archived and Deleted Process
Instances
Archived process instances are serialized and stored in XML format in a predefined location in a file system or a WebDAV system. Whenever you want to inspect archived instances, they are de-archived and temporarily stored in memory. Since you can only view archived instances, they are discarded when you leave the current screen. Currently, archived instances cannot be restored to the database.
The system views and functionalities provided in the Guided Procedures (GP) Administration workset and the GP Monitor of NetWeaver Administrator (NWA) allow you to view archived instances as all other completed process instances. You can see all activities, context data, process roles, ad hoc actions and attachments related to the instance.
For more information, see:
Guided Procedures (GP) Monitor
Deleted instances cannot be restored to the database or monitored, which means that instances with status Deleted are not visible with the monitoring tools provided. Deleting process instances requires deleting all their satellite data too: activities, context data, process roles, ad hoc actions and attachments.
