How to set the grid 

Use

You can use the grid to ensure that objects are correctly aligned with one another.

Procedure

Use grid

If the grid is hidden, click on the Toggle Grid button in the toolbar. The grid is shown based on your previous settings. To change the grid settings:

       1.      Click on Properties/Grid. The Grid dialog box opens.

       2.      Enable the Use grid check box.

       3.      Enter the desired settings.

       4.      Enable the Use as default check box if you want to apply these settings to all new models.

       5.      Click OK.

Grid width

...

       1.      Click on Properties/Grid. The Grid dialog box opens.

       2.      Enter the grid width or use the up or down arrows to increase or reduce the grid width. Alternatively, you can use the slider.
Move the slider to the left to increase the number of grid dots; the spacing between the grid dots will be reduced accordingly. Move the slider to the right to decrease the number of grid dots; the spacing between the grid dots will be enlarged accordingly.

       3.      Click OK.

Special grid mode

...

       1.      Click on Properties/Grid. The Grid dialog box opens.

       2.      Enable the Special grid mode check box. The Use grid check box will automatically be enabled. If the previous grid width was set below 30, it is automatically set to 30.

       3.      Click OK.

Result

The grid is displayed according to your settings.
