You use this procedure to implement the Adaptive computing controller in an IT landscape. This procedure also allows you to integrate all different components of an Adaptive Computing environment into the Adaptive Computing Controller (ACC). There are three phases of implementation:

  1. Installation of ACC

  2. Preparing managed landscape for ACC

  3. Configuration of ACC

  4. Integrate the managed landscape data into ACC

Procedure

1. Install ACC

More information about ACC installation, see SAP Service Marketplace at   http://service.sap.com/instguides   SAP NetWeaver   SAP NetWeaver PI 7.1   Installation   2 - Installation - SAP NetWeaver Systems   Inst. Guides - Adaptive Computing Controller 7.1 incl. EHP1

2. Prepare the IT Landscape for ACC
  1. Install and register the SAP host agent package.

More information: Using the SAP Host Agent in ACC 7.1,

  2. Enable SAP Application Services

More information: Enabling SAP Application Services for ACC

3. Configure ACC

If you have not configured the Adaptive Computing infrastructure using the Configure NWA wizard, use the Initial Setup for Adaptive Computing Controller configuration wizard to configure ACC in a central system.

More information: Wizard-Based Configuration of the ACC

4. Integrate the Managed landscape Data in to ACC
  1. Add services and resources in the ACC and make them available for configuration.

More information: Adding Services and Resources in ACC

  2. Configure pools, networks, characteristics, services and resources in ACC.

    Note Note

Configuration of services and resources is required only when the services and resources are registered in SLD via the SLD Data Supplier, as explained in the above step.

    End of the note.

More information: Configuring the Adaptive Computing Data in ACC

Result

You can now use the ACC application to manage large scale system landscapes containing services and resources.
