Procedure documentation Changing the Editor Mode  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

When you start the ABAP Editor, the system displays the source code in the editor mode defined in your user-specific settings.

Procedure

To change the editor mode from anywhere in the ABAP Workbench:

       1.      Choose Utilities →Settings.

The User-Specific Settings dialog box appears.

       2.      Choose ABAP Editor.

       3.      Set the new editor mode.

       4.      If you use the Back-End Editor, you can switch on or off the Line numbering and the Compression logic.

       5.      Choose Enter to leave the dialog box.

Result

The changed settings are saved and will be loaded next time you log on to the SAP system.
