Procedure documentation Modifying an Object  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

Customers have the option of modifying objects that are shipped by SAP. This is useful, for example, if customers want to reuse objects shipped by SAP in their own developments.

Caution

Note that when a system is upgraded, conflicts may occur between the new objects shipped by SAP and the modified object version.

More information: Version Conflict

SAP data types can be enhanced without the need for modifications by using data type enhancements.
