Procedure documentation Creating Pages  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

Each form consists of one or more pages. The first page in the tree structure is the start page (when you create a form, the start page already exists). With this page, processing of the form starts.

When you call pages repeatedly or process pages again because the main window is not filled yet, a page node creates several print pages.

Note

See also: General Concepts on Form Printing.

Procedure

  1. Select an existing page node (use double-click or right mouse button) to position the new page node. Create a new page node in the navigation tree of the Form Builder.
  2. Enter a unique name for the node and a description (for example, business terms).
  3. Determine the format and the mode of the page counter on the General Attributes tab. In the default setting, the next page is the page itself.
  4. Determine the print attributes of the page on the Output Options tab (see F1 help).
  5. Note

As of Release 6.10 you can specify the feed device dynamically (using input field Resource Name). For Releases 4.6C and 4.6D appropriate Support Packages exist (see Note 367128).

  6. Determine a background graphic for the entire page on the Background tab. For information on how to select the graphic see Printing Graphics. If you do not determine an Output Mode in the Output Attributes box (in print preview only or on the printer as well), the system ignores the background graphic.

Note

If you select an output mode, the user can still use a pushbutton in the print preview to decide whether or not to print the background graphic.

Note

You can also display the background graphic for template nodes in the Table Painter. For more information, refer to Displaying a Background Picture for Copy Purposes.

Result

You can now define the page contents. For each page, the Form Painter shows an individual layout. Whether the page is included into the printout depends on whether it is evaluated during form processing (a page can be omitted even though it is part of the tree structure).
