How to check the effects of an automatic layout in advance

Procedure

       1.      Open the model for which you want to perform the layout generation.

       2.      Click on Arrange/Layout. The Layout preview dialog box opens. The layout procedure on which the current model is based is selected by default.

       3.      Specify your settings. After each setting change, the model is re-arranged in the preview area. During the calculation process, the additional information (regenerating...) is displayed behind the term Preview.

       4.      When you have specified the necessary settings, you can base future layout generations on the current layout procedure. To do this, enable the Use as default check box.

       5.      Click on OK.

 

Result

The model is arranged in the modeling area as shown in the preview pane.
