When you monitor a system, you can use this function in addition to the user overview to analyze the system’s workload caused by users. You can:

  • Filter and sort the list

  • Update the display

  • Display user information

  • Display the memory requirements for the users

  • Activate/deactivate and display the user trace

Prerequisites

You are already in the user overview (User List screen).

The following table gives you an overview of the monitoring functions and the menu paths (and buttons).

Sort in Ascending Order (Sort in Ascending Order)

Sort in Descending Order (Sort in Descending Order)

Position the cursor on the column that should be sorted, and choose Sort.

Note that uppercase letters come before lowercase letters.

Filter

Set Filter (Set Filter)

A dialog box appears where you can enter the filter conditions for the client, the user name, and the transaction code. Click the Filter icon. A filtered user list appears.

Refresh

Refresh (Refresh)

Refreshes the display

Detailed information

  User   Detail  

Choose Detail (Choose Detail)

Detailed information used for internal analysis.

User information

  User   User Info  

User info (User info)

Displays brief information on the user; this information is maintained in user maintenance (transaction SU01).

Sessions

Displays (external) sessions that a user has opened; transaction codes may also be displayed. The system administrator can delete individual sessions (click End Session).

User list with or without system user

Either only the user who is logged on (normal) is displayed or the RFC logins to the server are also displayed. These are represented by the SAPSYS user.

Display memory consumption of users

  Goto   Memory

Displays user memory usage; the used memory of all actions (divided into different types) for a user is added up.
