Use

To create a Web service and a Web service client, and to deploy it on an application server, you have to configure a connection between the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio and the application server.

Procedure

Connecting the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio to the application server.

       1.      In the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio, choose Window→Preferences.

       2.      From the left-hand side pane, choose SAP AS Java.

       3.      In the Instance Host field, enter the name of the host where the application server is installed, for example localhost.

       4.      In the Instance number field, enter the Java instance number.

       5.      Choose Register SAP Instance.

       6.      Choose OK.

       1.      In the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio, choose Window→Preferences.

       2.      From the left-hand side pane, choose Web Services → Server and Runtime.

       3.      In the Server field, choose SAP Server.

       4.      In the Web service runtime field, choose SAP NetWeaver.

       5.      Choose OK.
