You can control the program using the keyboard. Use the following shortcut keys to achieve the described effect.
If you want to place objects and draw connections, you need a mouse.
If the following key combinations are already in use by SAP functions, use the control or shift key as well

Updates the current view based on the database changes. |

Toggles the connection mode (Edit/Toggle connection mode). |
F7 |
Starts the check. |

Opens Attribute Editing for selected items. |
