If you want to export your CIM instances with versioning, you have to use the Export administrative function.

1. Choose Administration → Export.
The Export screen appears. The namespace that will be exported is displayed in a status bar.
2. You have the following choices:
○ Incremental Export – exports only the changes from the previous export
○ Administrate incremental exports – aggregates several incremental exports, so that you can import them into another system.

1. Choose Incremental Export tab.
2. From the Export Line dropdown box, select one of the following options:
○ All CIM Instances to export all CIM instances
○ Landscape Directory to export the landscape data
○ Component Repository to export component repository data
○ Name Reservation to export name reservation data.
If this is the first export for this export line, you have to perform a full export. For the next export, you can choose whether to perform an incremental export or a full export.
3. Choose Export.
The status of the export is displayed. When the export is complete, it is listed in the Result section.
The system has exported the data of the export line you have selected. This export is also saved to the database and you can use it later. You can import the data, for example, into other systems of your system landscape.

2. Choose a type from the Export Line dropdown box. The last incremental export in this line is listed in the Result pane.
3. Click on it.
If you want to see additional information about this incremental export:
i. Click with the secondary mouse button on its name.
ii. Choose Technical Info.
4. Choose Save.

1. To manage your exports, choose Administrate Incremental Exports.
A list of your previous exports is displayed. You can group multiple exports together and import them as a single aggregated file into another system.
You must import exports with versioning in the same sequence in which they were produced into the target system.
2. Choose an option from the Export Line dropdown box.
You can also use a Filter, to make the list more specific.
3. To aggregate several exports into one:
a. Choose the required incremental exports
b. Choose Aggregate.
4. To remove an unnecessary incremental export:
a. Choose the incremental export.
b. Choose Remove.
You can download them only after you have aggregated them.
