To set up the SOA Manager for local access, you do not need to perform any special steps. You can start working with SOA Manager on your local system as soon as you start it.
To set up the SOA Manager for access to the central NetWeaver Administrator or for the service test page, some connection parameters need to be set or checked.
To set up the SOA Manager for access to the central NetWeaver Administrator or for the service test page:
In the ABAP back-end system, start the SOA Manager (transaction code SOAMANAGER).
A dialog box is displayed, showing the connection parameters, if they have been set.
If you start the SOA Manager for the first time, you need to define the parameters
You can define or change the connection parameters.
To change the existing parameter, choose Edit.
Specify the following information:

NWA: The host of the central SAP NetWeaver administrator Test page: The host on which the J2EE engine with the J2EE application is running |
Port number |
NWA: The HTTP port number used by the NetWeaver Administrator Test page: The HTTP port number used by the J2EE server |
User |
NWA: The Administrator user for the NetWeaver Administrator Test page: The J2EE user used to log on to the J2EE engine |
Password |
NWA: The password for the SAP NetWeaver Administrator user Test page: The password for the J2EE user. This password is stored in the ABAP secure store and is not visible in the dialog box. |
Save and continue.
The SOA Manager is started.
