You can define publication rules to control the publication of services. A publication rule can consist of a set of service definitions and classifications.

Prerequisites

A connection to the Services Registry has already been set up and configured.

Procedure

  1. From the main screen of the SOA Manager, go to the Service Administration tab.

  2. Choose Publication Rules.

An overview of publication rules is displayed.

  3. To create a new rule, choose Create Rule.

  4. Specify a name and a description for the new rule.

  5. Choose Next again.

An overview of available Service Registries is displayed.

  6. Select one or more Services Registries, and choose Activate.

  7. Choose Next.

  8. Search for a classification.

  9. To assign a classification, select it and choose Apply Selection.

  10. Choose Next.

  11. Search for a service.

  12. To assign a service, select it and choose Apply Selection.

  13. To add more classifications, choose Next. If you do not need to add any more classifications, choose Finish.

The registries, classifications, and rules that you selected are displayed in the Rule Details section.

    Note Note

If no rule is configured for a Services Registry, the Services Registry is assigned to a default rule SAP_DEFAULT_PUBLISH_ALL. This means that all the service definitions together with their endpoints are published.

    End of the note.
