Service definitions are published together with endpoints in the Services Registry. When service endpoints are created, updated, or deleted in the back-end system, information about the service endpoints is automatically published to the Services Registry in accordance with the active publishing rules.

Note Note

When information is published automatically, you are not notified of the changes. You can check the Services Registry to find out which entities have been published.

End of the note.

Automatic publication is not subject to the active publishing rules. When a service definition is configured, the SOA Manager publishes its endpoint to the primary Services Registry without checking the active publication rules. It is assumed that publication is always necessary when an endpoint is created for a service definition.

Prerequisites

A connection to the Services Registry has already been created and configured. One connection is designated as the primary Services Registry in the ABAP back-end system.

Procedure

A service definition together with its endpoints is published synchronously to the Services Registry as soon as it is configured in the SOA Manager. This procedure is described in the sections: Configuring a Single Service Provider and Configuring Multiple Service Providers.
