Procedure documentation Grouping and Configuring Web Services in Configuration Scenarios  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

This procedure enables you to group one or more service definitions in a configuration scenario and to assign configuration profiles to service definitions in this scenario. A service definition can belong to more than one configuration scenarios.

Prerequisites

A configuration profile is available.

Procedure

Log on to the SAP NetWeaver Administrator.

       1.      Choose SOA Management Business Administration Mass Configuration.

Alternatively, you can use the quick link /MassConfig as follows:

http://<host>:<port>/nwa/MassConfig.

The Mass Configuration screen opens.

1. Create a Scenario

...

       1.      Choose Create.

       2.      Enter a name and description of the configuration scenario, and then choose Next.

       3.      Choose Add Service Definition.

       4.      On the Search tab, proceed as follows:

                            a.      Find the service definitions you want to add to the configuration scenario.

In the Value field, enter the name of the service definition, and then choose Go. You can use the wildcard search symbols (?) and (*).

The system lists all available service definitions which match your search criteria.

                            b.      From the search results, select the service definitions you want to add to the configuration scenario. 

To select multiple entries from the list, on your keyboard, press and hold the SHIFT or CTRL keys and then choose the relevant service definitions.

To select all entries in the table, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text , and then choose Select All.

                            c.      Choose Apply.

The system adds the service definitions to the configuration scenario.

       5.      If you now want to assign a configuration profile to one or more service definitions in the configuration scenario, proceed with the procedure below.

If you want to save the configuration scenario, choose Finish. The system saves the configuration profile with status active. You can assign a configuration profile to the service definitions in it later by editing the scenario. More information: Editing Configuration Scenarios.

2. Assign a Configuration Profile to Web Services in a Scenario

       1.      Select one or more service definitions from the table, and then choose Assign Profile.

To select multiple entries from the list, on your keyboard, press and hold the SHIFT or CTRL keys and then choose the relevant service definitions.

To select all entries in the table, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text , and then choose Select All.

       2.      On the Search tab, proceed as follows:

                            a.      Find the configuration profile you want to assign.

In the Value field, enter the name of the profile, and then choose Go. You can use the wildcard search symbols (?) and (*).

The system lists all available profiles which match your search criteria.

                            b.      From the search results, choose the relevant configuration profile.

The system assigns the configuration profile to the service definition.

       3.      If necessary, repeat the steps to select other service definitions from the configuration scenario and assign a configuration profile to them.

       4.      Choose Finish.

       5.      The system creates the configuration scenario with status active.

Result

Depending on the status of the configuration profile and scenario, the system creates service endpoints the next time the background job is executed.

When the service endpoints are available, you can configure the proxy definitions which need to consume the configured service definitions. You can check the created service endpoints in
