Tasks

The additional tasks to be performed for the administration of a business-to-business (B2B) scenario are variant-specific.

There are no special administration tasks for the variant Business Partner Integration Using Industry Standards in addition to those already listed for usage type PI under Tasks.

The following tasks are specific to the variant Smaller Business Partner and Subsidiary Integration:

Message monitoring	Message monitor of the Partner Connectivity Kit (PCK)	You use message monitoring to track the status of messages and to find errors that have occurred and detect what caused them.
Security archiving	PCK message monitor	You use security archiving to archive messages with S/MIME security settings.
Background processing	PCK message monitor	You use this function to archive, delete, restart, or reschedule messages that have already been processed.
Adapter monitoring	PCK adapter monitor	You use the adapter monitor to monitor individual adapters.
Connection to CCMS	Generic Request and Message Generator framework (transaction GRMG)	You use this transaction to integrate the heartbeat monitoring for the PCK in the CCMS monitor.
Starting and Stopping	PCK	If you decide to stop the PCK, do so after you have performed steps 1 to 9 of the stop procedure for usage type PI (follow the link in column Task). The same advantages and disadvantages apply as outlined in step 9. If stopped, start the PCK after you have performed steps 1 to 3 of the start procedure for usage type PI (follow the link in column Task). If you did not stop it, access the PCK message monitor and manually restart the messages with errors.
