In this case, you define the service as part of a communication party. You can also define a service independently of a communication party. This is useful if you want to configure the communication within a company unit where explicit communication parties are not required, for example.
If you want to address integration processes and business systems as senders or receivers of messages, you must define them as services in the Integration Directory.
