Prerequisites
In addition to the
various tools and engines required to run
SAP NetWeaver PI,
the following tools and
engines must be installed and configured to run a business-to-business (B2B)
scenario. The parameters host and port refer to the host name and connection port of
your Integration Server.

An RNIF adapter is required to integrate high tech business partners using the RosettaNet standard. RNIF adapters are provided as part of the Advanced Adapter Engine and must be configured in the Integration Directory at http://<host>:<port>/dir/start. |

The CIDX adapter is required to integrate chemical business partners using the CIDX standard. It is provided as part of the Advanced Adapter Engine and must be configured in the Integration Directory at http://<host>:<port>/dir/start. |

Third-party industry standard adapter |
Any required industry-specific adapter that is not provided by SAP, but that can be run with the Advanced Adapter Engine. |
