Scheduling Jobs
Schedule jobs with which you can perform the various background processes.
You have started the central SAP NetWeaver Administrator for PI and have chosen an Adapter Engine as component.

1. Choose Background Processes. A list of all existing jobs is displayed.

2. If you want to create a new job, choose Create Job and specify the details of the new job.

3. Save your new job.
The job appears in a list of jobs that already exist and can be edited or deleted.
4. If you want to edit a job that already exists, select the job, choose Edit and change the job details as required.

5. Save the changed job.
After saving, the job appears with the changed values. The name of the person who last changed the job is displayed along with the date and time of the last change.
6. If you would like to delete an existing job, select the job and then choose Delete.

You cannot delete the standard delete jobs; you can only deactivate them.
7. If you want to execute a job straight away irrespective of the next scheduled execution, select Execute Immediately.
8. If you want to display information for the execution of a job, select the job and then choose Log.
The job log gives you the following information:
○ Date and time of the last scheduled execution of the job
○ Number of messages processed when the last job was run
○ Total number of jobs run
○ Total number of messages processed to date by this job
