Description of the Programming Interface 

Web Service descriptions of the programming interface are available as external definitions in the Enterprise Services Repository.

The external definitions are in the Enterprise Services Repository in the software component version SAP BASIS 7.00 in the namespace http//sap.com/xi/XI/System (under External Definitions).

There is an external definition for each object type and change list.

Each external definition contains the following sort of elements:

●      Elements that describe the methods and parameters for operations that you can perform on the object or the change list.

These elements are always all set up in the same way for all object types.

Using these elements you can, for example, identify which parameters you have to enter when calling the Web Service for a particular operation.
