Configuration of Digital Signatures and Encryption Functions 

SAP NetWeaver provides functions for digital signatures and encryption with the Secure Store and Forward (SSF) interface.

This interface is provided by SAP NetWeaver, the functions themselves are provided by an external security product. SAP delivers a default product, the SAP Security Library that supports digital signatures. In addition, unless you are in a country where cryptographic functions cannot be exported, you can download and install the SAP Cryptographic Library, which also provides encryption functions.
