We recommend that you complete the following steps before you use your database with the SAP system.

       1.      Plan your database configuration.

       2.      Plan your backup and restore strategy.

       3.      Check your DB2 setup.

       4.      Check the authorization profiles for the users in your system.

       5.      Set up the PTF (Program Temporary Fixes) check for your z/OS system.
