Data Archiving 

 

Data archiving is available in two different technology variations: ADK-based Data Archiving and XML-based Data Archiving.

●      ADK-based Data Archiving

This technology is purely ABAP-based. At the time of archiving, you must make several basis Customizing and other Customizing settings. For more information on Customizing for ADK-based archiving see Introduction to Data Archiving and Customizing.

●      XML-based Data Archiving

This technology is available for JAVA applications that use archiving sets to archive data in the XML format. To be able to use XML-based data archiving, you must perform different configuration steps to set up the system. These steps are described in the following configuration guide:
