Monitoring Log FilesYou can monitor trace and log files using a template. If an error occurs in a log file an alert is displayed in the CCMS system.
1. Edit every *logmon.ini file in the directory <TREX_DIR >/exe/CCMS. These configuration files apply respectively for specific TREX instances:
○ <SAPSID>_<trex_instance_number>_Daemon_logmon.ini
○ <SAPSID>_<trex_instance_number>_IndexServer_logmon.ini
○ <SAPSID>_<trex_instance_number>_NameServer_logmon.ini
○ <SAPSID>_<trex_instance_number>_Preprocessor_logmon.ini
○ <SAPSID>_<trex_instance_number>_QueueServer_logmon.ini
○ <SAPSID>_<trex_instance_number>_WebServer_logmon.ini
2. Change the parameter for the area DIRECTORY= to the directory <TREX_DIR>/<trex_hostname>/trace in every *logmon.ini file.
3. Copy the configuration files from <TREX_DIR>/exe/CCMS to the following directory:
○ Windows: \\<host>\usr\sap\prfclog\logmon\
○ UNIX: /usr/sap/prfclog/logmon/
You can now start the monitoring of the log files and alerting in the CCMS monitor.
