Monitoring ProcessesYou can monitor currently active TREX processes. This implementation is similar to availability monitoring, where a scenario on a server is checked in various steps.
...
1. Go to the directory <TREX_DIR>/exe/CCMS.
2. Copy the file dev_proc, which is located there, to the following directory:
Windows: <disk_drive>:\usr\sap\prfclog\procmon
UNIX /usr/sap/prfclog/procmon
3. Name the file dev_procaccording to your TREX instance to <SAPSID>_<trex_instance_number>procmon.ini.
4. Restart SAPOSCOL.
Enter the following commands in a prompt to do this:
saposcol - k (stops (kills) SAPOSCOL)
saposcol - l (starts SAPOSCOL)
You can now start TREX process monitoring in the CCMS monitor.
...
1. Start transaction RZ20.
The screen containing the CCMS Monitor Sets appears.
2. Expand the node SAP CCMS Monitors for Optional Components.
3. Double-click the entry TREX.
A node tree containing the following entries appears:
○ TREX Server Heartbeat (all Releases)
○ TREX (Release <= 6.40)
○ TREX (Release >= 7.0)
4. Choose a TREX release.
5. Choose the entry TREX Process Monitoring.
A list of entries for various TREX processes that are monitored by the CCMS monitor appears.

The
TREX admin
tool also provides a monitoring function for monitoring processes, errors,
and alerts (see
TREX Alert
Server). The TREX alert server regularly checks central TREX functions and
can notify you by e-mail of the system status in the event of an error or
incorrect configuration.
