Installing the Mobile Client 
You must install the mobile client on a laptop or handheld to access the mobile applications that are assigned to you.
You must have administrator level authorization on the client device.
You have installed JRE 1.5.x on the client device.
You have access to the Installation CD or DVD that contains the installation files for SAP NetWeaver Mobile 7.1.
You must have access to the installation software of MaxDB 7.6. for MySQL AB MySQL.
Note
The system installs the MaxDB in the drive where you have installed the operating system.
You have deleted the existing version of the mobile client (if any).
You have installed NSICom CrEme 4.12.
You have copied the pda_runtime_wince.CAB file from the installation CD or DVD to the local storage folder of the handheld.

On the installation CD or DVD, navigate to the folder: MobileClient\Laptop, and execute setup.exe.
The installation wizard starts.
Follow the instructions in the wizard until the installation is complete.
Note
When the system prompts you to select the required language for installation, select the language in which you want the installation wizard to appear.
If you choose to perform a custom installation, you can enter the Client, Protocol, Host and Port information during the installation. The supported protocols are:
HTTP
HTTPS
Data Carrier Synchronization
If MaxDB exists on the client device, then the client installation creates only a new instance of the database. If a client instance of the database already exists, the installation wizard deletes that instance.
The mobile client is installed. The installation creates a shortcut to the mobile client on the desktop. You can now start using the Mobile client.

From the local folder, execute pda_runtime_wince.CAB.
The installation wizard starts.
From the local folder, execute db2e.CAB or mindb.CAB, depending on the database you want.
From the local folder, execute pda_jsp_container.CAB, pda_awt_container.CAB, or pda_eswt_container.CAB depending on the application you want to run on the handheld.
You must restart the handheld, and then start using the mobile client for Handhelds.
