A software component version (SWCV) in the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE) can refer to data objects and distribution models created in a different SWCV.

Recommendation Recommendation

We recommend that you create all the data objects in a single SWCV and the distribution model for these data objects in a different SWCV. The SWCV for the distribution model should refer to the SWCV that has the data objects.

Prerequisites

  • You have created the reference SWCV (that is, the SWCV that you want to refer to).

  • You have created the referring SWCV.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the SAP NetWeaver AS.

  2. In the Navigation pane, choose   Data Orchestration Engine   Development   Data Orchestration Workbench  .

  3. From the SWCV list, select the referring SWCV and choose Change.

  4. Choose the Uses tab.

  5. In the Caption column, select the SWCV that you want to refer to.

  6. To inherit the data objects from the referring SWCV, select the Inherit Data Objects indicator.

  7. To inherit the distribution models from the referring SWCV, select the Inherit DM indicator.

  8. Choose Save.
