Creating Gateway Distribution Models
In the DOE, similar to a distribution model, there exists the concept of a gateway determination model. The gateway determination model contains distribution logic for a data object that determines which instances of the data object must be routed to which back-end systems.
A gateway determination model has rules and dependencies:
Rules
The data object model defined in the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE) is based on the mobile applications that are installed on the mobile devices. When you create an instance of the data object on the mobile client, it must be routed to the appropriate back-end system. The determination of the back-end system is based on gateway rules. The rules can be based on criteria fields that can have constant values, initial values, or attribute-mapped values.

Dependencies
A distribution dependency establishes a relationship between data objects so that the related data objects and their data are distributed to the mobile devices as a set. Dependencies are defined between data objects and are created by the DOE at distribution model level. This functionality is similar to the data distribution dependency.
Data objects of the distribution model must be active.
Log on to the SAP NetWeaver Application Server, and start transaction SDOE_WB.
Click the data object with the secondary mouse button, and choose .
In the dialog box that appears, choose Gateway Determination Model as the category.
Enter a name for the distribution model and choose Save.
The gateway distribution model is created. You can now define rules in this distribution model.
