Solution: Scenario 2 

Prerequisites

• You have obtained a list of all the development classes used in the customer’s own developments.
• All the packages on which customer developments depend are clearly identified.
• All the customer’s developments are bundled together in one structure package.

Process Flow

1. You create a structure package for all the customer’s developments.
2. You create main packages within the new structure package.
3. You assign all the customer packages to the new structure package.

You can assign packages to the structure package using the report RS_ASSIGN_TO_STRUCTURE_PACKAGE.

4. You specify the dependencies of these packages on the Enterprise structure packages – BASIS, ABA, HR, APPL, and APPL_TOOLS.
5. You create use accesses in the customer’s structure to the Enterprise structure packages’ interfaces (use accesses at the structure package level).
6. You create the appropriate use accesses for the packages in the customer structure package.
7. You switch on the package check using the global package check switch.
