Use

You can use the statistics history function to:

·        Display multiple statistics versions to see the development of the workload over a longer period of time

·        Compare several versions of the statistics with a reference version of the statistics, so that you can see the difference in number of lines between the various sets of statistics

·        Create a new statistics version for one or all target languages in the system

·        Delete an old statistics version

 

Prerequisites

A translation evaluation must run at least once for statistics to be created.

To create new statistics, your translator profile must contain authorization object STGS with value 01.

To delete statistics, your translator profile must contain authorization object STGS with value 02.

Displaying the Statistics History

       1.      Proceed as described in steps 1 to 3 of Configuring the Display of Statistics.

       2.      On the History tab page you can select one or more statistics versions, and/or select a reference statistics version as follows:

¡        Select one or more statistics versions

You can list multiple statistics versions from different dates as follows:

Select the statistics versions you want to display from the list on the History tab page.

You can use the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Select All and This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Deselect All pushbuttons to help make your selection.

¡        Select a reference statistics version

You can make a comparison between one or more statistics versions and a reference statistics version as follows:

In the Reference Stat. No: field, you enter the number of the reference statistics version with which you want compare other statistics versions. As default, this field is empty.

You can select the statistics versions with which you want to compare the reference statistics from the list on the History tab page.

As default the most recent statistics version is selected.

       3.      To display the statistics history, choose Display.

       4.      The statistics history is displayed as follows:

       5.      To save statistics data to a local file in Excel® (.xls) format, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Save to Local PC.

Caution When downloading statistics data from the system ensure that you have maintained the same decimal notation in your user profile (transaction SU3) and on your operating system.

Creating Statistics Versions

On the History tab page, you can write a new statistics version to the database (in other words update the statistics) follows:

       1.      To update the statistics for the target language you selected in step 2, choose Write Statistics to DB (Current Language).

To update the statistics for all target languages, choose Write Statistics to DB (All Languages).

       2.      Enter a description for your statistics run in the Write Statistics dialog box.

       3.      Schedule your statistics run as a background run.

The system schedules a background job called STATISTIC_<today's date>_<Target language> (for example, STATISTIC_SMITHJ_enUS).

You can use the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Refresh Display pushbutton to check the status of your statistics run job. You can also monitor the status of your statistics run job in transaction SM37.

When your statistics run job is finished, the system displays it at the top of the list on the History tab page. Your description is displayed in the Text Line column.

Deleting Statistics Versions

You can delete older versions of the statistics for specific target language as follows:

       4.      Select the version(s) of the statistics you want to delete from the list on the History tab page and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Delete.

       5.      Confirm the Delete Worklist Statistics dialog box.

The system deletes these statistics from the database.
