Assignment of a Company Address
Each user in user administration has a
workplace address and can therefore be assigned to a company address. You can maintain these addresses in transaction SU01 by choosing Environment → Maintain company address.
User administration maps company addresses using the address type 1 (company addresses) of the BAS data model.
For workplace addresses, n:m relations can be defined between company addresses and persons (contacts) in BAS. This has been carried out for SAP business partners, for example. The data model of user administration, however, allows only 1:n relations. Therefore, a person cannot be assigned to more than one company address at the same time. When you maintain user addresses, you can choose Assign other company address... or Assign new company address... to assign another company address (or user company) to the user. The current assignment to the company address is deleted.
