Creating a Single Device 

Prerequisites

You have logged on to the SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator.

Procedure

...

       1.      Choose Administration.

       2.      Under Device Management, choose Device Administration.

       3.      In the Search Results section of the screen, choose  Create.

       4.      In the Device name field, enter a name for the device.

You can use a GUID value as the device name.

       5.      In the Description field, enter a description for the device.

       6.      In the User field, enter a user for the device.

       7.      To create the device as a test device, select Create as Test Device.

After mobile components are uploaded to the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE), you must test these components before you deploy them to a large number of productive mobile devices. You can test these mobile components only on devices that are created using the above-mentioned option.

       8.      Choose Create.

The system creates a device with the name you specified. In addition, the system generates a device ID that logically identifies a device in the Data Orchestration Engine.
