Deleting Data from the Log and Trace Tables 

Use

After you have archived data from the log and trace tables, you must delete this data from these tables. This allows you to reduce the size of the log and trace tables.

Prerequisites

You have archived data from the log and trace tables.

You have defined the required variant.

Procedure

...

       1.      Log on to the SAP NetWeaver ASand start transaction SARA.

       2.      In the Archiving Object field, enter MMW_LOGS.

       3.      Choose Delete.

       4.      Choose Archive Selection.

       5.      Select the files that have been archived and choose Continue.

       6.      Choose Start Date.

You can execute the delete program immediately or schedule its execution based on your requirements. We recommend that you schedule the execution of the delete program instead of executing it immediately.

       7.      Choose Save.

       8.      Choose Spool Parameters.

       9.      Enter the output device details and choose Continue.

   10.      Choose  Execute.
