Procedure

...

       1.      In the Operations screen area, choose Delta Generation.

In the Delta Generation Status screen area, the date and time of the last delta calculation is displayed.

       2.      To calculate the latest delta (changed generators), choose Find Changed Generators.

If you choose this option, sometimes this can be a time-consuming task because of the load on the system. Therefore, you can schedule a background job to find out about the generators that have changed. In this case, the information about changed generators is sent to your Inbox.

       3.      In the Choose Generators screen area, select Delta.

Note

Only the modified generators for the selected repository object type are displayed. However, if you select All, all the generators associated with the selected repository object type are displayed.

       4.      In the Show generators for repository Object field, select the required repository object type and choose Go.

       5.      In the List of Generators screen area, select the generators for which you want to trigger regeneration and choose Choose Objects.

       6.      In the Choose Objects screen area, select one of the following:

¡        All – triggers the regeneration of all the affected runtime objects that correspond to the selected generators.

¡        Filter – filters the runtime objects that you want to regenerate. You can filter for objects based on the following software component version(s):

§         Data object

§         Distribution model

§         Hierarchy meta model

§         Receiver meta model

Note

The availability of these filters depends on the object type you choose for generation.

       7.      In the Start Generation screen area, select one of the following:

¡        Trigger immediately– triggers the generation of objects immediately.

¡        Schedule generation– Allows you to schedule the generation. The system prompts you to specify the date and time when the generation must be triggered.

If you trigger the generation immediately, the system displays the list of objects that are selected for generation. You can delete an object from the list (if required) before you start the generation.
