Procedure documentation Report RSADRQU2  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Using report RSADRQU2, addresses selected using report RSADRQU1 are adjusted to the updated data in the city file.

The changed data is not written to the database yet, but is just stored temporarily using an INDX-type cluster table.

Note

Only use report RSADRQU2 if the city file is used for the reference data.

If third-party software is connected using the business add-in ADDRESS_CHECK, the vendor of the software must deliver their own report, which is to be used instead of report RSADRQU2. The name convention /PARTNER/RSADRQU2 is predefined for this report. /PARTNER/ stands for the partner's reserved namespace prefix.

Reports RSADRQU1 and RSADRQU3 always have to be used.

Prerequisites

The city file has to have been filled and updated by using report RSADRLSM02, or manually updated. Before report RSADRQU2 is called, report RSADRQU1 has to have been started in order to start the quarterly adjustment of addresses.

Selecting the Difference Data

...

       1.      Start report RSADRQU2.

       2.      Select the difference data according to which the addresses are adjusted, from the corresponding list.

Note

Difference data that has not yet been used for address adjustment is chosen by default.

However, difference data is only displayed for those countries for which the quarterly adjustment has been activated using report RSADRQU1.

It may be useful to change the default value if only part of the addresses existing in the system were selected for a previous adjustment in RSADRQU1 and additional addresses are to be updated with the same difference data in a subsequent adjustment.

Note

In report RSADRQU1, you can specify the number of addresses that are to be selected for the adjustment at the same time and then stored temporarily (package processing). In report RSADRQU2, you can select how many of these packages are to be adjusted at the same time. This enables you to either improve performance (by adjusting multiple packages at the same time) or reduce the amount of memory required (by only adjusting a few packages at the same time).

       3.      Start the selection.

The adjusted addresses are stored in another INDX-type table. A log is only output once report RSADRQU2 has been executed.

It is possible to update the city file several times in succession using report RSADRLSM02 without adjusting the address with reports RSADRQU1, RSADRQU2 and RSADRQU3 each time. The difference data generated can then be used at a later time for the quarterly adjustment of addresses.

Caution

This procedure is, however, not recommended because data can be lost in the process. It is advisable to adjust addresses each time the city file is updated.
