Monitoring the Generation of Objects 

Use

You can monitor the activities related to delta generation based on your requirements. For example, you have triggered generation for some objects and you want to check the status of generation or  abort the generation of some objects. You can perform these activities by using the monitoring capabilities of delta generation.

Prerequisites

You have logged on to the SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator.

Procedure

...

       1.      In the Operations screen area, choose Delta Generation.

       2.      Choose Delta Generation Monitoring.

You can also access delta generation monitoring from the Monitoring area of the NetWeaver Mobile Administrator.

By default, the generation details of the current user are displayed.

Check the Status of Generation

...

       1.      In the Status field, select the required status.

You can select the following:

Status	Displays the Details of
ALL	All the objects for which generation was triggered
NEW	Objects that are yet to be scheduled for generation
IN_PROCESS	Objects for which generation has been triggered
GENERATING	Objects being generated at that time
SCHEDULED	Objects for which generation has been scheduled
ERROR	Objects for which generation resulted in errors
COMPLETE	Objects that were generated successfully

       2.      Choose Filter.

Trigger Generation

...

       1.      In the Status field, select the required status.

       2.      Choose Filter.

       3.      Select the required objects from the list.

       4.      Choose Generate now.

Abort Generation

You can abort the generation objects that have the IN_PROCESS status.

...

       1.      In the Status field, select IN_PROCESS.

       2.      Choose Filter.

       3.      Select the required objects from the list.

       4.      Choose Abort.

Schedule a Job for Generation

...

       1.      In the Status field, select the required status.

       2.      Choose Filter.

       3.      Select the required objects from the list.

       4.      Choose Schedule Generation.

       5.      Enter the required date and time.

       6.      Choose Schedule Generation.

You cannot schedule generations for objects if their status is IN_PROCESS or GENERATING.

Cancel a Scheduled Generation

...

       1.      In the Status field, select SCHEDULED.

       2.      Choose Filter.

       3.      Select the required objects from the list.

       4.      Choose Un-Schedule.

Delete Scheduled Jobs

...

       1.      In the Status field, select SCHEDULED.

       2.      Choose Filter.

       3.      Select the required objects from the list.

       4.      Choose Delete all Scheduled Jobs.

You can delete scheduled jobs only if you are assigned the SAP_DOE_ADMINISTRATOR role.

Delete Objects

You can delete objects from the delta generation monitoring based on your requirements. For example, you can delete all the objects that have been generated successfully.

       1.      In the Status field, select the required status.

       2.      Choose Filter.

       3.      Select the required objects from the list.

       4.      Choose Delete.

You cannot delete objects if their status is IN_PROCESS or GENERATING.
