Defining a Variant to Reload Archived Data 

Use

A variant allows you to define conditions based on which you want to reload the archived data back into the log and trace tables or message store tables. When you want to define a variant to reload the archived data, you must specify whether you want to reload data in the:

·        Test mode

●      Production mode

Procedure

       1.      Log on to the SAP NetWeaver AS and start transaction:

¡        SDOE_RELOADLOG – to define a variant to reload archived data back into the log and trace tables

○       SDOE_RELOADMSG – to define a variant to reload archived data back into the message store tables

       2.      From the Processing Options, select the required mode.

       3.      In the Detail Log field, select the required option.

       4.      In the Log Output field, select the required output option.

       5.      Choose Save.

       6.      In the Variant Name field, enter a name for the variant.

       7.      In the Meaning field, enter a description for the variant.

       8.      To define the behavior of the variant, select the required options.

       9.      Choose Save.
