Duplicate Check and Error-Tolerant Search
The duplicate check is used to avoid the same address being entered twice in address data. This prevents unnecessary (double) deliveries, for example, and, therefore, customer dissatisfaction and unnecessary costs.
It is also necessary to carry out the error-tolerant search since this search finds duplicates that have been entered differently to each other:
The street name "Oxford Street", which has been entered once in full as "Oxford Street" and once as the abbreviation "Oxford St.".
