Enabling SSO for the Mobile
Client
Single Sign On (SSO) is the mechanism that eliminates the need for you to enter password for every system you log on to. The mobile client for laptops uses the SAP NetWeaver Portal Server to enable SSO for the client.

In this procedure, activities required on the NetWeaver portal and on the mobile client for laptops is provided.
· You have installed and set up the NetWeaver portal.
· You have installed the mobile client for laptops.

1. Obtain the Enterprise Archive (EAR) file that enables the NetWeaver portal to access the mobile client. The EAR file is available in the Service Marketplace (SMP).
a. Download the NWMCLIENTSETUP.ZIP from the SMP.

b. Extract the contents of NWMCLIENTSETUP.ZIP and navigate to the MobileClient folder.
c. In the MobileClient folder, extract the contents of the NWMCLIENT.sca file.
d. In the extracted contents, navigate to the DEPLOYARCHIVES folder, and obtain the sap.com~tc~mobile~mwd~laptop~ssopkg.ear file.
2. Upload the EAR file to the NetWeaver portal.

3. Configure the default.properties file of the mobile client with the SSO parameters.

You must create the user only after configuring the default.properties file.
4. Start the mobile client.
5. Create a user in the mobile client.
The user and the password must be the same on the client and the NetWeaver portal.
6. Log on to the mobile client through the NetWeaver portal.
