Procedure documentation Creating an Agent Configuration  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

An agent configuration is a collection of agents. You must create an agent configuration if you want to deploy a set of agents on multiple devices.

Prerequisites

You have logged on to the SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator.

More information: Logging On to SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator

Procedure

...

       1.      Choose Administration.

       2.      Under Agents Administration, choose Agent Configurations.

       3.      Under Agent Configurations, choose Create.

       4.      In the Agent Configuration ID field, enter an ID for the agent configuration.

       5.      In the Description field, enter a description for the agent configuration.

       6.      Based on your requirements, specify values for the following fields as explained in the table below:

Field

Description

Process automatically

By default, this option is selected. This ensures that when the agent configuration is transferred to the device, it is automatically executed on the device. However, if you want to provide a timeline to the device user to execute the agent configuration, then you can select this option and enter a date in the Last Date for Process Automatically field.

Last Date for Process Automatically

Specify a date in this field only if you select the Process Automatically option. If the device user does not execute the agent configuration by the date you specify, then it is executed automatically on the device.

Expiry date

Use this option only if you do not want the agent configuration to be executed automatically. Therefore, specify an expiry date only if you do not select the Process Automatically option. If you specify an expiry date, the device user can choose to execute or discard the agent configuration. If the user does not execute the agent configuration by the date you specify in this field, it is discarded automatically. In this case, a notification is sent to the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE) through the FEEDBACK data object.

Note

The values you specify for the fields in the table above are applicable to all the agents that are part of the agent configuration. These fields are also available at the agent parameter level. Therefore, you can specify different values for individual parameters.

       7.      Choose Save.
