Procedure documentation Report RSADRQU1  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

You use report RSADRQU1 to select addresses that are to be adjusted. When the quarterly adjustment is activated, an entry is made in table ADRCNTRYQU to indicate that the quarterly adjustment is active. Addresses that are changed in the system during the quarterly adjustment are flagged so that they are not overwritten by the original address at the end of the quarterly adjustment.

Prerequisites

Report RSADRLSM02 or the corresponding report of a third-party provider has been executed.

Selecting Addresses for the Quarterly Adjustment

...

       1.      Start report RSADRQU1.

You have the following entry options:

       2.      Specify the countries for which the quarterly adjustment is to be performed. This is a required entry.

       3.      You have the option of adjusting addresses in certain cities only or with certain postal codes only. Specify appropriate selection values in the relevant parameters.

       4.      Only change the parameters if necessary. The "Package size" parameter has a technical character. It describes the number of addresses that are to be read from the database in one go and stored temporarily for the adjustment. All addresses are read that meet the selection conditions, regardless of the package size. The package size should therefore only be reduced if problems occur with the memory during the execution of the reports RSADRQU1, RSADRQU2 or the report delivered by a third-party provider.

       5.      If necessary, make special entries for addresses that are still unchecked. It is possible that addresses are maintained in the system that have not yet been checked using the city file. This is the case if addresses were created in the system before the city file was activated. In the quarterly adjustment, unchecked addresses can be excluded, checked additionally, or checked separately.

Note

If you have started report RSADRQU1 without having completed the quarterly adjustment by calling the follow-on report, you cannot start a new adjustment immediately. You either end the quarterly adjustment by executing it completely or you set the "Overwrite existing INDX" parameter. This releases all addresses temporarily stored in the previous run for an adjustment. Only use this option if you are sure that no data will be lost.

Note

It is useful to set this parameter if the quarterly adjustment is terminated for some reason and you want to start it again.

       6.      Start the selection.

The address records are selected according to the settings and stored in an INDX-type table.
