SAP NetWeaver Mobile supportsthe following protocols for data communication:

·        Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP)

·        Secure Hypertext Transmission Protocol (HTTPS)

To enable HTTPS, you must configure the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) in the DOE.

·        Data Carrier Synchronization

For all the protocols, data is transferred between a mobile client and the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE) only if the following conditions are met:

●      A user of the mobile client is identified by the DOE. The device with which the user synchronizes must be assigned to that user.

●      The user must also be authorized to synchronize data (SAP_DOE_SYNC_ROLE must be assigned to the user).
