To enable applications to create search helps for the error-tolerant search, the business add-in ADDR_SEARCH was encapsulated with the search mode S using the function module ADDR_FUZZY_SEARCH. This function module is used in Release 4.6B in the search helps DEBIY for the customer master or KREDY for the vendor master. As of Release 4.6C, this function module is also used in the search help BUPAY for the SAP business partner.

The method READ_INDEX_FIELD_LIST of the business add-in ADDRESS_SEARCH is called to control which fields can be searched for in the index. Non-indexable fields are not proposed on the selection screen for the search help.
