Creating Mass Devices 

Use

You can create a large number of devices in the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE) by extracting information from the back-end system.

Prerequisites

·        You must ensure that the details of the required devices are stored in the required table(s) of the back-end system. To do this, you can execute a report program in the back-end system that populates the table(s) with the device details. There are no restrictions on the number of fields that you can have in the table(s) in the back-end system. However, you must have a field to store the receiver names and must ensure that the receiver names are unique.

·        You have created the required customizing group.

·        You have associated the required receiver generation data object to the customizing group. More information: Associating a Data Object to an RMM

·        You have logged on to the SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator.

Procedure

...

       1.      From the left part of the screen, choose Operations Handbook.

       2.      Choose Mass Device Creation.

       3.      From List of Customizing Group field, select the customizing group.

       4.      Choose Next.

       5.      From the list of data objects, select the required data objects.

       6.      Choose Complete.

You have created a number of devices simultaneously. You can navigate to the Mobile Overview page to view the details of the devices. The Inbox contains a task indicating the number of devices that were created. Choose the task to view the details of the devices. Additionally, in the System Statistics area, a message appears indicating the number of devices that were created.
