Use

When you are applying a support package on the data orchestration engine, several runtime objects may get affected as a result of the changes that are part of the support package. In this case, it is a time-consuming task to manually identify and regenerate these runtime objects. Therefore, you can perform automatic delta generation to ensure that all the affected runtime objects are regenerated.

If you are applying several notes simultaneously, then we recommend that you perform automatic delta generation after you have applied all the notes.

Prerequisites

You have logged on to SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator.

More information: Logging On to SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator

Procedure

...

       1.      In the Operations screen area, choose Delta Generation.

       2.      Choose Trigger Delta Generation.

The system creates a job to identify the objects that have to be regenerated. The job name and number are displayed in the mobile administrator. You can view the status of identifying the objects to be generated by using transaction SM37. The job log for the above-mentioned job displays this information. After the job is complete, the system identifies the list of objects that have to be regenerated.

The system then creates a new job to generate these objects. You can monitor the generation of these objects from delta generation monitoring. The job name of this job is available as part of the job logs of the object calculation process. You can track this job also by using transaction SM37. After this job is complete, the status of all the objects that were regenerated changes to Complete.
