Configuring the SMS Connector 

Use

The SMS Connector provides an administration tool that allows an SMS administrator to specify configuration options for the component. The user can access the SMS Connector Administrator from the User’s Program Menu after successful installation of the SMS Connector. The SMS Connector Administrator allows the user to configure the following values:

·        SMS Connector operating mode

●      Tracing capabilities that allow you to enable a trace switch for a particular tracing level so that the trace messages specified for that level and all levels below it are displayed.

●      SAP credentials to be used by the SMS Connector when notifications are sent to the SAP system.

●      Specify the number of retires and the retry interval to follow whenever notifications cannot be sent to SAP due to connectivity issues.

Prerequisites

The SMS Connector must be installed.

Procedure

From the User’s Program Menu, select the SAP ODM Integration menu and choose the SMS Connector Administrator shortcut.

Result

Changes made to the SMS Connector configuration take effect when you restart the service.
