Deploying SAP Mobile Components with a Third-Party DM System 

Use

This section describes the process of deploying SAP mobile components using SMS Server 2003. To deploy the SAP Mobile components, use the native deployment functionality offered by the Device Management System.

Prerequisites

·        You have installed the mobile client on the client device.

·        You have ensured that the mobile client is running on the device.

·        You have installed the Open Device Management Integration Framework on the client device.

Procedure

       1.      Create an SMS deployment package containing SAP mobile components.

       2.      Advertise the deployment package install/uninstall programs.

When you create the advertisement on SMS, the mobile component must be assigned or unassigned on the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE) for each device receiving the advertisement.
